Coherent Technical Services, Inc. is seeking Computer Science/Engineering candidates in the San Diego area to support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in the upgrade, development, integration and demonstration of software enhancements for Positioning Navigation and Timing (PNT) systems. CTSi supports mission critical real-time PNT data services, including weapons, combat systems, and other command, control, communications and intelligence systems on Navy surface and subsurface platforms. This individual will be responsible for the engineering support for software and system-level integration and test and evaluation (T&E) of shipboard PNT systems.
Education/Certifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering and/or Electrical or Electronics Engineering with field of concentration in Computer Science
Experience:
Individual will have a strong academic and analytical background with:
- Hardware, firmware, software and systems engineering, design and integration.
- Software and system testing procedures, bug verification and test automation.
- Technical reviews of integration products verifying compliance between the intended shipboard platform and PNT systems.
- With in a lab environment, setup, and update test capabilities to support Government IV&V and verify Technical Requirements Document (TRD) compliance.
- Experience with PNT system internal and external Interface Control Documentation (ICD) and have experience testing interface compliance to the governed documentation.
- Test plan and procedure development, test equipment calibration, scenario generation, dry running, test conduct, and report documentation.
- Agile programming experience with object-oriented analysis, Matlab, design and programming using Java, C#, C++ and JavaScript; user interfaces and HTML.
- Object Oriented design, Windows and Redhat LINUX operating systems as well as Microsoft products.
- CM tools (SVN, GIT, Confluence, JIRA).
- Ability to work in a team environment; provide constructive alternatives/approaches to solving issues; be flexible; have a strong sense of urgency for critical tasks; and must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing schedule and communicating process.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Security Clearance
- BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering and/or Electrical or Electronics Engineering with field of concentration in Computer Science
- Minimum two to four (2-4) years of professional experience.
- Programming experience with object-oriented analysis, design and programming using Java, C#, C++ and JavaScript; user interfaces and HTML.
